Our Pre-Kindergarten class is a place where students, parents, and teachers, together as a three-way partnership, embark upon the journey of childhood growth and development. Parents and teachers work together as a team as we endeavor to elevate the children socially, mentally, physically and spiritually in a manner that is pleasing to God.
Our program is designed to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences based upon the individual needs of the children. Each child is given the opportunity to discover and reach their full potential as a productive and capable individual.
We encourage learning through all areas of development: spiritual, physical, social and cognitive. Our curriculum includes a weekly Bible lesson, letter of the alphabet, mathematical concept, and theme. The students are encouraged to explore these areas through many methods that are developmentally appropriate. Students enrolled in the Pre-Kindergarten program will attend music and physical education classes each week. Students will take various educational field trips each year. The class will also take part in on-campus trips in which the class will attend special programs.
Parent communication is vital to your child's success in school. A weekly newsletter will be sent home on Monday of each week containing information regarding the week and what your child is learning in class.
Students are encouraged to work together in everything they do. Many activities that are done in Pre-Kindergarten involve group activities. Children are taught to respect others and how to accept responsibility for their actions. Our teachers encourage positive behavior in the classroom through the discipline plan set forth by each teacher.
