ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY - Students in grades PreK-5 will be participating in Field Day events today, May 2, at Dunlop Park in Arlington (call the office for directions). Team T-shirts will be provided for the students when they get to school on Friday, and siblings will be on the same team, to make it easier for parents to follow along and cheer for all of their children. Parent volunteers are welcome to help with the event. Busses will be leaving Burton at 9:00 a.m. and returning at 2:30 p.m.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS - 3rd and 4th grade students will be participating in the Battle of the Books this evening against Burleson Adventist School.

THE JUNIOR HIGH & ELEMENTARY SPRING MUSIC CONCERT will be held in the Hayes gym on Thursday evening May 8 at 6:00 p.m. Students should arrive at 5:30 and wear their chapel uniform.

THE HIGH SCHOOL CHORALE will be presenting their annual concert on Saturday night, May 17, at 8:30 p.m. in the Hayes Gym. The students have been working very hard at chorale camp this week to put the finishing touches on what is sure to be an outstanding performance.

FREE ICE CREAM - Students who return their re-application forms before May 18 will be given a coupon for free ice cream from the kitchen. Forms have been given to the students, and registration packets have been mailed home.

JUNIOR HIGH FIELD DAY is scheduled for Friday, May 9, here on the Burton campus. Students may wear shorts. Team T-shirts will be supplied after they arrive at school.

SPORTS BANQUET(S) - The junior high sports banquet will be held on Wednesday evening, May 7, at 6:00 p.m. in the Hayes Gym. All junior high students and parents are invited. The evening’s events will include dinner and a short program.

All high school athletes, their parents, and siblings are invited to attend the high school sports banquet on Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Hayes Gymnasium. Dinner will be served, to be followed by an awards ceremony.
